Bogart's is the perfect brunch/lunch place after a morning run or morning after the beach! I think they are also great just for a little get together with a friend for lunch, as this place is very casual and comfortable. Located on Monsarrat Avenue, about 3 minutes from Waikiki Beach and Kapiolani Beach Park, it is always bustling with local beachgoers and tourists wanting to try their Acai Bowls. They are highly noted for their Acai, and are in direct competition with Diamond Head Health Bar located 2 doors away and also Blue Hawaii Lifestyle (Ala Moana Center). I've tried Diamond Head Health Bar's Acai, but have not had the chance to try Blue Hawaii or Bogart's. There is always so many other delicious-sounding items on the menu that I always turn the Acai Bowls down!!
Only con? Parking sucks, pardon my french. There is only a small private lot which holds parking for all of the shops/eateries in that little area. I'd avoid going to eat there during peak hours. I went around 330-4pm and had no problem.
Crab and Avocado Omelette with potatoes- one of my favorites. They don't scrimp on the crab and avocado! |
I've heard so much about the Bagels that I had to try! So glad I did. Taro Bagel half with Sundried Tomato cream cheese spread. THE BEST cream cheese spread. |
Taro Bagel has a distinct bright purple color! |
Taro Bagel half with Macadamia Nut Pesto cream cheese |
I thoroughtly enjoyed both Sundried Tomato spread and the Mac Nut Pesto, but would probably get the Sundried Tomato again. I'm curious about the Walnut Raisin next!! Maybe I'll visit Bogart's again tomorrow......?
